SolidTrust Pay (STP) is a relatively new player in the e-currency market but with a lot of enthousiastic users. Based in Canada some call it the 'PayPal of Canada' although I think differently. A comparison with PayPal doesn't do them justice because STP is basically offering a lot more and with less hassle. Don't get me wrong; I'm a very happy PayPal user but for online investing PayPal just isn't the right choice in most cases.

What I like about this company is their level of service and their wide variety of available tools. For example, they have a mass pay feature, merchant tools (subscriptions, recurring payments, shopping cart etc.), a request payment feature, a debit card and a lot more.

They also take pro-active measures to offer enhanced security, for example they are offering a TrustCard. Details are on the website in the FAQ.

You can open an account here:

SolidTrust Pay is welcoming networking and investment programs although they don't support scams or other abuse of their payment system. This is what they say on their website:

'SolidTrust Pay will not "freeze" or "suspend" your account for businesses such as Network Marketing or MLM Income Opportunities. We will, however, suspend any account that is found to be involved in any fraudulent or malicious activity, including impersonating a SolidTrust Pay representative or attempting to gain other SolidTrust Pay users passwords. Any decision made by SolidTrust Pay, its officers, or representatives will be final.'

This is one of the reasons STP is growing so fast. It is widely used in the online investing community.

The fees are fair, they belong to the lowest in the industry.

Note that STP has a KYC (Know Your Customer) policy. Opening an account is free and can be done anonymous but than the usage of the account is very limited. Non verified members accounts will be limited to $20 per transfer, up to $500 total every 5 days. Only verified members are able to use their credit card or bank account. You are able to send in mailed deposits and bank wires without being a verified member.

As with e-gold I wouldn't advise to keep a lot of funds in STP. There is no guarantee STP won't be raided and have their funds frozen. I'm convinced they are not a scam but always be prepared for the worst.
