| One of the things you need for your website or blog is a banner. If a website is linking to your website with a regular link than don't expect a lot of visitors. If the link comes from a banner than the chances are higher that you'll get some visitors. A banner is a great way to attract attention! You can also use banners in banner exchanges, in a signature or on a safelist. Don't make your banner too big because it reduces the chances you can place your banner on websites. Also mind the filesize, preferably below 100kb. Smaller is better. Here is something not everybody knows. Banners are normally created in a standard sizes and depending on the size you will get another banner CTR (Click Through Rate). So be sure to select an appropriate banner size. Something else people don't seem to realize is that the internet community is becoming insensitive for banners. We intend to ignore banners and read around them. As an advertising tool banners aren't that great. They do however show your presence on the internet and over time this creates trust. It is not a bad idea to have some banners working for you in places where you expect to find interesting leads for your business.
