Hi everybody.  I’m Sam Shrauger, PayPal’s vice president of global product strategy. 

I’m very excited to welcome a new colleague to the PayPal product team — Darrell Esch.  Darrell is our new vice president of consumer product and has the important job of leading the development of the next generation of products for our customers.  

Darrell comes to PayPal from Bank of America, where he spent 14 years driving product strategy and building an extensive array of consumer and merchant products.  Darrell’s special area of expertise is delivering products based on current customer needs, but also anticipating products that will deliver a great customer experience before customers even articulate or request them. 

Darrell has an excellent track record of success, and I can’t wait to work with him to deliver new products and services that will make the PayPal experience even better for our customers.
