In my last update I mentioned Income4Free.org and that I thought it looked very similar to Forex4Free.biz. Both websites are terribly slow and packed with spell errors. Updates are poor and there are more similarities.
Just for the heck of it I thought I'd look into it. Sure enough after a single Google Search I found a website that shows both websites are hosted on the same IP address.
So that pretty much links them together. Both websites below to the same person or group of people.

Could it be these website are scams? And if so, what are they after?...

That's the million dollar question. I signed up for both website because I figured it can't hurt as long as you don't put any money in it. But like many of you I find it extremely unlikely that they will give me money for free. Why would they?

A couple of scenarios come to mind:

Maybe they are just harvesting email addresses
I doubt it. In todays internet most people are smart enough to open up a GMail address for these type of programs. If they turn out to be spammers you can quite simply filter out their email and send it to the trashcan. Mail addresses are of value but not like they used to be.

Maybe they are after our Liberty Reserver account numbers
Possibly but I doubt it. Liberty Reserve itself has a some questionable history. (Do not keep a lot of money in your LR account). A lot of people unfortunately use the same password for about everything they sign up for. But in case of LR this wouldn't matter because LR uses at least two security logins that you didn't enter yourself. Unless LR itself in involved this seems futile. And IF LR was involved they wouldn't need the forex4free.biz and income4free.org.

Maybe they are money laundering schemes
Possible. I'm no expert but wouldn't there be better ways to do this? This scenario seems a bit far fetched to me.

Maybe they will ask us for money later on
This seems the most likely scenario to me. In fact they already have the mechanism in place because you can deposit your LR funds already. They also already offered an 'extra investment' vehicle. The law of the large numbers says that there will always be people that get greedy and deposit some money to make their accounts grow faster. I fear that money is lost forever.

Maybe they want to sell the domain names later on
Another likely possibility. Some key factors in determining the value of a domain name are the Google Page Rank and the number of visitors. There are several other factors but the number of visitors is an important factor because more visitors is more exposure to whatever it is you want to sell.
To get as many visitors as possibly you'll want to offer something that people want. And not just that, you'll want the visitors to return to the website as often as possible.



Bottom line, I think we became part of a very large mailing list of people that have a Liberty Reserve account. As long as you don't hand them over your money you should be safe but I doubt we'll ever see some money coming out of it.
