There are literally hundereds of MLM or Multi Level Marketing programs, a.k.a. Affiliate programs or Network Marketing programs. But which ones are good? You probably heard some bad things about MLM.

But MLM is not necessarily  a bad thing. You can make good money with them as long as you know what works for you.

I've joined some MLM programs in the past so I learned that hard way what works for me what doesn't. The tactic I use to 'work' MLM programs is really simple actually and it could work for you as well.

I'll save you the standard blabla about how you must believe in the product, willing to put in a lot of time, sales tactics and psychology.  Yes, you do have to believe in whatever it is that you're 'selling' but a good deal or product pretty much sells itself. You don't have to brainwash your prospect for that.

This is what works for me, maybe it works for you as well. 

1. Look at the program itself. Constraints are bad, you don't want any sponsoring requirements or or qualification requirements. That is where people often fail to succeed; they don't meet a requirement and get disappointed and demotivated. If an MLM has contraints I drop it.
2. Look at what they offer. If they just offer a ton of 'great e-books' don't waste your time. You can get tons of that crap for free on the internet, there is no reason to pay good money for it. What you have here is actually a ponzi purporting itself as a MLM program. Don't waste your time on it. If they are actually offering something substantial they deserve a closer look.
3. I prefer the ones that charge a LOW monthly fee because that usually means monthly income. In my experience that usually also results in a more stable downline over time, thus ensuring a longer-term income. A one-time-only cost setup will lose momentum and sooner or later will die of. Shame of all your hard work.
4. A very important one; know when to get in! The sooner you get in a decent MLM the better it is! Every hour counts. If a program has been running for a few weeks and I've seen advertisements everywhere on the internet I'm probably too late and it is better to focus on other programs in that case. The only exception is when there is still a lot of potential to build a decent downline. If not drop it like a brick and move on.
5. In case of a good MLM program I usually work it like crazy for a couple of weeks. Work, work, work and than work some more. After a couple of weeks your downline should expand by itself. If not than either the program, or its management, is not working the right way. If that is the case than it is time to say goodbye and focus on other programs. 

Currently the only MLM I promote that fits the rules above is That Free Thing but I realize that is not everyones cup of tea either. That goes for every program I guess.
